In this video, Howard Storm describes a deep core Near Death Experience during which he experienced leaving his body and being drawn by spirits to the darkness. He describes leaving his body, standing by the bed, looking at his own body and trying to communicate with his wife. The interesting points here are: 1) Hell exists. (The definition of hell is the absence of God i.e. Light and the definition of heaven is the absence of darkness.) 2) This example is one of many in which people experience hell in an NDE. i.e. not all NDE accounts are about heaven. This means that the range of NDE experiences is consistent with what the Bible tells us of the afterlife. The NDE phenomena might be less convincing if all accounts were heavenly. 3) God never sends anyone into the darkness. We send ourselves there by using our own free will (which is God-given). God's plan is to bring everyone into the light 4) Although Howard went into hell, he cried out for God and Jesus and was saved. Jesus rescued him out of hell. 5) Critics of NDE often claim that people experience what they expect in an NDE. Howard Storm was an atheist and did not expect anything in the afterlife - let alone hell! Although this account demonstrates that it is never too late to call out for God - even from hell - it would be a mistake and a shame to leave it that late. The sooner we seek the light of God, the sooner we walk in that light and can develop spiritually to be the greatest we can be. As Howard intimated - Don't flunk life! After this experience, Howard Storm (who had previously been an out and out atheist) left his professorship at the University and studied to become a Christian minister which he is to this day. |
